Tools To Carry on Your Snowmobile

Home Uncategorized Tools To Carry on Your Snowmobile

When you’re out in the wilderness on your snowmobile you should always carry a variety of tools in the event that your sled encounters a problem or simply to deal with the changing conditions. Most sleds come with a stock tool kit located under the snowmobile’s hood or seat. This will most likely include a spark plug wrench, a set of wrenches, screwdrivers and a strap for emergency starting.

While it will most likely be different for each brand and generation of sled, it’s essential that you’re familiar with what you might need in certain events. No matter how experienced a rider is, unexpected situations can arise so it’s always best to be prepared and not take unncecessary risks when it comes to safety.

It can be difficult to strike a balance between taking the absolute necessities and over-preparing resulting in a heavy sled! That’s why we have prepared a streamlined list of additional tools that we recommend you take. This is something that we have managed to narrow down over the years.

The Tools

  • Multi-Tool Folding Torx scew driver set – because it works on both Torx and Hex (Allen) screws
  • Vise Grips
  • Universal Box wrench
  • Socket wrench with the correct socket sizes
  • Two aluminum rods and hose clamps (for splinting)
  • Metal wire coil
  • Cutters
  • Duct Tape
  • Self tapping metal screws

Hopefully this list will help you to be better prepared when you’re out on the snow.
